We announce the death of Lorine Helton in Edgewood, Kentucky, who passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Jones and Emma Jones; her husband Marvin Sparks; her grandsons, Michael McKinney and Christopher McKinney; and her siblings, Viola Williams, Ancil Jones, Ed Jones, Velma Hall of John, Julie Tucker, Junior Jones, Gorman Jones and Archie Jones.
She is survived by: her brothers, Kenneth Jones (Betty) of Chicago and Lindell Jones of Williamsburg, Kentucky.; her sister-in-law Sharon Jones of Norwood Ohio; and her grandchildren, Sarah Hedger (Brian), Matthew Sparks (Brandi), Ryan Sparks (Chelsea), Nicholas McKinney (Dee), Brandon McKinney, Thomas Durban (Raquel), Rachel Paul (Jeff) and Benjamin Durban (Rachel). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home (103 S 2nd St, Williamsburg, KY 40769). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
