He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Jane Chism; his grandmother Martha Chism (Purdy); his wife Gladys Marie Long (Woods); and his children, Belinda Gayle Long and Mark William Long.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Angela Marie Long and Leland William Long; and his stepdaughters, Theresa Bradley, Vanessa Riddle and Linda Woodyard. He is also survived by children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
