He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Joseph McDermott and Mary Agnes McDermott; his wife Patricia Ann McDermott; his parents-in-law, Margaret and Edward Cassidy; his brother-in-law James Cassidy; and his sisters, Karen McDermott and Jennifer Haire (Jim Haire).
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin (Rosie), Patrick (Jennifer) and Brian (Julie); his siblings, Greg (Betty), Mayrene Hicks, Dennis (Patti), Jeff (Joy), Doug, Denise Higgins (Bob) and David (Harriet); his sisters-in-law, Janet Schipper (Thomas) and Carol Robinson (Thomas); and his grandchildren, James, Katelyn, Margaret, Linden, Joseph, Colin, Benjamin and Matthew. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
