He was predeceased by : his parents, William Pickett and Dillie Savage Pickett. He is survived by : his children, Russell Aaron Pickett, James Lytle, Delena Buenting, Colleen Ehmen and Loraine Lesa From; and his grandson Austin Pickett. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home (2232 Summer Shade Rd, Summer Shade, KY 42166). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
