He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert James and Mary Buback Whitten; his wife Raelynn Whitten; and his siblings, Harold Whitten, Bob Whitten and Mary Feezle.
He is survived by: his sons, George Whitten II of Ohio, Matthew Whitten of Ohio, Thomas Whitten of Upton and Paul Whitten of Edmonton; and his brother John Whitten (Cheryl). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
