He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucian Simpson and Evelyn Gardner Simpson; his wife Lydia E. Adkins Simpson; and his siblings, Florence Wyatt, Jim Simpson, Dilma Harrison, Bob Simpson, Joyce Akin, Shirley Long and German Dean Simpson.
He is survived by: his daughter Lois Simpson Estes; his son-in-law Tony of Edmonton; his grandchildren, Heather Boston of Edmonton, Kyle Boston of Edmonton, Whitney Estes (Luke Butts) of Edmonton and Maria (J. R. White); his great grandchildren, Kaleb Boston, Ruthie White, Brayton Butts, Everly White and Brinley Butts; and his brother Wayne Simpson of Indiana. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home (206 S Main St, Greensburg, KY 42743). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at the Adkins-Elmore Cemetery.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Adkins-Elmore Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
