He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Chapman and Geneva Gentry Chapman. He is survived by: his brother Marty Chapman (Ann); his children, Micky Compton, Stevie Compton (Valarie), Jamie Compton Compton (Raye Ann), Nathaniel Bryant (Branda) and Morgan Gore (Christopher); and his nephew Lynn Chapman (Shannon Doyle). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM at the Butler Funeral Home (201 East St, Edmonton, KY 42129). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
