He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Henry Cleary and Constance Fazio Cleary; his wife Barbara K. Gilligan; his brothers, John Ambrose Cleary and Donald Frank Cleary; and his sister-in-law Karen L. Cassell Stevenson.
He is survived by: his sisters, Francis Catalina of Syracuse, Connie Cleary of Watertown and Evelyn Findeis of Pillar Point; his nieces and nephews, Donna Cleary Spooner (Mike), Brandi Cleary Felser (Earnest Kellogg), Stephanie Catalina, Amber Findeis, Brittany Findeis, John Cleary Jr. (Marcie), Richard Cleary, Billy Cleary, Scott Cleary, Joseph Catalina, Brian Catalina (Jennifer) and Eric Cleary; his great-niece Mysti Jo Camara Brooks (Jennifer); his great-nephews, Jason Cleary (Stacey), Michael Cleary (Keri) and Brennan Brooks (Taylor); and his pets, Jellybean and Littlefoot. He is also survived by family members and friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160).
