He was predeceased by: his parents, C. H. Durnil and Edna Durnil; and his sisters, Betty Ann Kendall and Martha Elliston. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sue Durnil; his children, John (Lynn), Gregg, Kaki Bunch (Brian Hornback) and Ed Durnil (Barbara); his grandchildren, Leslie Bunch Curl, Jordan W. Conlee (Katie Haynes), Dr. Charles Bunch (Victoria), Kelli Bunch (Tyler Lancaster), Logan Durnil (Tylor) and Sarah Rigdon (Sam); his great grandchildren, Rylee, Emma, Maddie, Camden, Naomi, Emmett, Booker, Sawyer, Owen, Jett, Cody and Penelope; and his caregivers, Ashley, Brenda, Theresa, Justin, Keith, Tina, Bud and Pat.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Trowbridge Funeral Home - Elizabethtown (234 W Dixie Ave, Elizabethtown, KY 42701). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160).
