Eleanor Cossitt Obituary

Eleanor "Ellie" Cossitt, 89, of Elizabethtown, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018, after a long battle with Alzheimers. A wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was a native of Buffalo, New York, and retired from the U of L Hospital at the age of 80 where she was a medical technician for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren; a brother, Roy; and sister-in-law, Wilma.

She will be lovingly missed by three children, Barbara Cossitt, Glenn (Sandy) Cossitt and Nicole (Jim) Bird; seven grandchildren, Angela (Chance), Stephen, Aaron (Kasey), Adam, Sydney (Will), Brandon and Kyle; and two great-grandchildren, Avery and Cooper. A memorial service is at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.

Visitation begins at noon Saturday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Hosparus.
