With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elmer Harris Cheatwood of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, who passed away on April 30, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Cheatwood (Mims) and Elmer Harris Cheatwood, Sr.; and his wife Martha Sue Cheatwood. He is survived by: his children, Pam Tillotson (Louie), Ronald Harris Cheatwood (Carrol) and Scottie Cheatwood; his grandchildren, Tara Steele (Mike), Christopher Cheatwood (Jamie) and Courtney Tudor (Joe); his great grandchildren, Bella Steele, Hezekiah Steele, Abigail Steele, Charlotte Cheatwood, Eleanor Cheatwood, Harrison Tudor and Margot Tudor; and his caregivers, Kim Yurjenich, Kathy Burba, Tina Grabowski, Marilyn Brown and Jenn Trujillo.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the College Heights Church (710 College Street Rd, Elizabethtown, KY 42701).
