It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavon Cundiff of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, born in Hardin, Kentucky, who passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas J. Barnes and Valasta Snowden Barnes; the father of her children Golden Junior Cundiff; and her siblings, Carol Rugzie, Sue Daugherty, Della Faye Barnes, Thomas J. "Tommy" Barnes and George Franklin "Skippy" Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Lonnie Cundiff (Kim), Michael "Clyde" Cundiff, Betty Noe (Michael), Bonnie Thompson, Ebony Wheatley and Tonja Prather (Steve); and her siblings, Vernie Barnes, Eric Barnes (Betty), Lora Janrose Wiseman and Diana McClease (Hank). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, five step grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren.
