He was predeceased by: his parents, Aldie Bowles Hellems and Homer G. Hellems; and his sister Virginia Cade. He is survived by: his wife Gloria A. Hellems; his daughter Cindy A. Miller (Steve) of Shepherdsville, KY; his grandson Dylan P. Smith of Lyndon, KY; and his brother Kurtis Helms (Cindi) of Myrtle Beach, S. C.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
