It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Elton King Sr. of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, who passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James King and Beulah "Parks" King; his daughters, Theresa and Valarie King; his brother Yulie Barnes; and his grandson Jonathon Hatten.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Anna King; his children, Marvin King, Jr., Jimmy Williams (Tina), Timmy Williams (Veronica), Shawn Williams (Alexandra), Margaret Price, Geraldine King, Natasha King (Gerald), Regina King, Makeba King, Renee Hatten, Mary Suitt (Larry) and Kenyetta Livingston; and his siblings, Mark King (Denise), Jerome King, John King, Vickie Malone, Carol King, Lisa Cameron (William), Sherry Tabor and Tashia Horn. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Embry Chapel A. M. E. Church (401 Skyline Dr, Elizabethtown, KY 42701). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
