Phillip Allen Grimes Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phillip Allen Grimes of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 30, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Phillip Allen may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Phillip Allen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde E. Sr. Grimes and Nettie Grimes; and his siblings, Clyde E. Grimes Jr. (Beverly), Cecil Grimes, Faye Allen and Janie Grimes.
He is survived by: his wife Della Grimes; his son David Grimes (Trish); his granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Allie Grimes; and his sister Roxie Mansfield.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Manakee Funeral Home - Elizabethtown (2098 Leitchfield Rd, Elizabethtown, KY 42701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
