It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell Moore of Elkton, Kentucky, who passed away on May 14, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Moore and Lillie McElwain Moore; his stepmother Lucille McGehee Moore; his wife Rayola Petrie Moore; and his brothers, Kenneth Moore and James Cleo Moore.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Goodwin (Stewart) of Elkton and Kelly Day (Chris) of Bowling Green; his sister Christine Allen of Russellville; and his grandchildren, Logan Hurt (Amber), Stephen Day (Reilly), Mason Day (Alex), Kate Stokes (Tristan) and John Goodwin. He is also survived by 11 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Latham Funeral Home (413 E Main St, Elkton, KY 42220). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
