He is survived by: his close friend Shirley A. Cohen; his daughter Angel Davie; his stepson Christopher Steadmon (Felicia); his uncle Frank McReynolds; and his siblings, Robert V. Sydnor, Betty A. Leavell, Tomico Barber and Thomasine Hassell. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
