She was predeceased by: her parents, Bobby Biter and Dolly Sue Milam Morton; and her husband David Massie. She is survived by: her stepsons, Jonathan Massie of Bell Buckle and Shannon Massie of Maize, Kansas; her siblings' children, Dylan Harper of Russellville and Shelby Harper of Elkton; and her siblings, Wayne Morton of Elkton, April Harper of Guthrie and Andrea Cosca of Dayton. She is also survived by four grandchildren.

“This is our second classmate to lose this month out of the class of ‘85 at Todd Central. Growing up, Monica and her family were close to my family especially my mother. After my mother passed, she helped me deal with my grief.. I’ll never forget her compassion. May her family find peace through God’s promise and grace during this horrible tragedy. Paula Martin Lamar”
