He is survived by: his children, Michael Murphy of Gilbertsville, KY, Charlotte Hicks of Clarksville, TN and Terri Bennett of Clarksville, TN; and his sisters, Dorothy Burchett Shemwell of Clarksville, TN and Jean Castle of Guthrie. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
