He was predeceased by: his parents, John Doherty and Edith Doherty; his children, Andy Doherty and Michelle Doherty; and his brothers, Alan and Richard Doherty.
He is survived by: his daughter Shawna D. Straub (Donald); his grandchildren, Jacob R. Straub, Zoe O. Straub and Luke A. Straub; his daughter-in-law Ruby P. Doherty; and his granddaughter Elizabeth G. Bowen (Triston). He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
In loving memory of Michael, contributions may be made to the ASPCA to honor his compassionate spirit for animals.
