We bid farewell to Kay Coomes of Eminence, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 15, 2025 at the age of 79. Kay touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Earl and Viola Thomas Poe (Hale); her husband Benjamin P. "Ben" Coomes; and her brothers, Don Sr., Paul and Bill Poe.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Moore of Walton, KY. and Benny Coomes (Lisa) of Smithfield; her grandchildren, Jacob Moore (Emily Kate), Rachael Sholar (Greg), Emily Coomes Downing (Ben) and Andrew Coomes (Terralynn); and her great grandchildren, Brody, Everly Kay, Kennedy, Judah, Brooks, Parker, Sutton, Beckett and Finley Kayte.
Form of contributions may be given to Eminence Baptist Church, Eminence Independent Schools in care of the Ben P. Coomes Scholarship fund or to Hosparus.
