He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Ned and Hallie Mae Long (Kelley); his wife Pauline Long; and his son Ronald Lee Long. He is survived by : his daughters, Marie Long Breeden (Tom) of Smithfield, Marline Long of Shelbyville, Mary Ann Bates (Scott) of Eminence and Elizabeth Boggs (Sean) of Lexington; and his daughter-in-law Barbara (Pleasureville).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Restoration Life Church (4159 N Main St, Eminence, KY 40019). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to Restoration Life Church Building Fund.
