He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Atchison and Mary Ann Atchison (Adams); and his wife Linda Gayle Atchison. He is survived by: his close friend Pamela Adams of Eminence; his sons, Justin Atchison (Catherine) of Pleasureville and Kyle Atchison (Amanda) of Eminence; and his sisters, Linda Smith of New Castle and Mary Jean Atchison of Frankfort.
