We are sad to announce that, on January 22, 2026, at the age of 96, Sylvia (Clark) Downey of Eminence, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gill Clark and Pearl Clark (Aldridge); her husband Sam Downey; her daughter Zelma Louise Downey; and her siblings, R. C. Clark, Mary Bowling and Lucille Erwin.
She is survived by: her son Bobby R. Downey of Eminence; her grandchildren, Rina Borders (Richard) of Cox's Creek and Jonathan Ray Downey; her great grandchild Samantha Flowers (Zachary); her sister Shirley McClure; Thelma Shaw. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
