He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Hammock and Effie Hammock (Morgan); his children, Sarah Lisa Hammock and J. Roy Hammock; and his former wife Sarah Frances Hammock (Sammie).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hammock of Whitesburg; his stepdaughter Adrian Fields Conn (Daniel) of Rutledge, Tennessee.; his daughters, Debbie Hammock Frazier (Gaither) of Bridgeport and Mitzi Hammock Kincer (Stephen) of Whitesburg, Kentucky.; his grandchildren, Sarah Mayse (Ryan), Jay Frazier, Michael Frazier (Lauren), Destin Smith (Forrest), Lisa Fleming (Todd), Dylan Kincer, Christopher Frazier, Kenzie Trent (Kaleb) and Dalton Conn (Kaley); his great grandchildren, Kylen, Jaxon, Mia, Velle, Carter, Gunnar, Shipley, Karsyn, Carmen, Kimber and Kent; and his siblings, Don L Hammock and Ella Kaye Collins.
