He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Smith and Linda Jane Slusher Smith; his wife Violet C. Smith; and his siblings, Vernon Smith, Homer Smith and Gail Smith Asher.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melinda Jackson (David), Lannette Smith and Alonda Gail Kilburn (James Campbell); his siblings, Raymond Smith (Nancy), Kenneth Smith (Janice), Edith Smith and Janet Sizemore; his grandchildren, Kayla Mosley, Drew, Chad Jackson, Heather, Dylan Smith, Lexie, Blake Jackson, Brittany and Ava Campbell; and his great grandchildren, Jayden, Tyler, Karli, Rhyker and Emblyn.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bowens Creek Baptist Church (42 Hill Top Rd, Essie, KY 40827). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
