In loving memory of Emma Belle (May) Ruckel of Eubank, Kentucky, who departed this world on September 30, 2025 at the age of 84. Emma leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin May and Katherine May (Hubble); her husband Leonard C. Ruckel; her daughter-in-law Alisa Ruckel; and her siblings, Johnny May, Thomas May, Jean Webb, Patsy Walker and Alice Mullins.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Ruckel (Denise) of Waynesburg, Jeff Ruckel (Anna) of Waynesburg, Doug Ruckel of Stanford and Missy York (Wayne) of Eubank; her grandchildren, Emily Ruckel, Erica Noel, Ashley Ruckel, Yolanda Ruckel, Joshua Ruckel, Addalee Ruckel, Blake Ruckel (LeeAnne), Landon Ruckel (Casey), Brent Ruckel (Sakkara), Brittany Elkins, Jordan Ruckel, Caleb Ruckel (Tabby), Dylan York and Ryan York; and her sisters, Louise Webb of Virginia, Peggy Ruckel of Eubank and Donna Ruckel of Waynesburg. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and numerous other extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Friend Funeral Home (545 KY-328, Waynesburg, KY 40489). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
