James Abner Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Abner of Eubank, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 5, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otha Abner and Flora Abner (Brown); his former wife Elizabeth Abner (Hartley); his wife Carolyn Abner (Wood); his children, Larry Wilson, Robin Abner, Janet Ward and Ann Michau; and his siblings, Ed Abner, Larry Abner, Carl Abner, Jane Collins, Opal Kreshman, Shirley Burton and Letha Barfield.
He is survived by: his children, Bobby Abner, Michael Abner, Kim Crowe (Ricky) and Debra Godbey (Bennie); and his siblings, Eugene Abner, Josephine Hester, Linda Manning and Phyllis Abner. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Main Chapel (5900 US Hwy 27, Science Hill, KY 42553). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
