He was predeceased by: his parents, Otha Abner and Flora Abner (Brown); his former wife Elizabeth Abner (Hartley); his wife Carolyn Abner (Wood); his children, Larry Wilson, Robin Abner, Janet Ward and Ann Michau; and his siblings, Ed Abner, Larry Abner, Carl Abner, Jane Collins, Opal Kreshman, Shirley Burton and Letha Barfield.
He is survived by: his children, Bobby Abner, Michael Abner, Kim Crowe (Ricky) and Debra Godbey (Bennie); and his siblings, Eugene Abner, Josephine Hester, Linda Manning and Phyllis Abner. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
