She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Gastineau and Eva Eliene Kerr Gastineau; her son Terry Allen Cowan; and her siblings, Ed, Jerry, Andrew "Bud" Gastineau, Janice Mink and Nancy Pevley.
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Cowan; and her sisters, Dene Jones and Lynn Gastineau. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pulaski Funeral Home (165 KY-2227, Somerset, KY 42503). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home (165 KY-2227, Somerset, KY 42503).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that expressions of sympathy take the form of Gideon Bible's donated in Janie's memory.
