He was predeceased by : his mother Ada Slone. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Slone; his children, Kirby Slone (Sherry Richards), Jody Slone (Melissa) and Shannon Slone; his grandchildren, Shelby Lowery and Taylor Slone; and his siblings, Ed Slone (Ogie) of Ligon, KY, Bessie Scalf of Beaver, KY, Anna Sue Howell (Bill) of Bowling Green, KY and Rex Slone of Ligon, KY..

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home (5900 US Hwy 27, Science Hill, KY 42553). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Somerset-Pulaski County Humane Society or the Arbor Day Foundation.
