She was predeceased by: her husband Bill Childers of Evarts, KY; her parents, Reverend Hoyle Smith and Nola Smith of Evarts, KY; her brothers, David Smith and Roger Smith; her niece Vonda Lynn Sarver; and her great-niece Cynthia Wynn.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Massengill of Clinton, TN and Sharla Wells (David) of Paducah, KY; her sister Faye Hensley of Fairfield, OH; her grandchildren, Michelle Stooksbury (Lauren), Caleb Massengill, Hannah Lee Massengill and Luke Wells; and her great grandchildren, Arya Stooksbury and Rylee Mae Massengill. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
