John Barnes Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of John Barnes of Fairdale, Kentucky is shared. John, born on February 25, 1960, passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Barnes and Joan K. Barnes; and his nephews, Devin Hovsepian and Brent Sivori. He is survived by: his granddaughter Faith Courtney; his great grandchildren, Brianna Aikins, Sam and Ben Barnes; his siblings, Susan L. Sivori (Bill), David R. Barnes (Sandy) and Leah M. Barnes (Ronnie); his niece Heather Floyd (Bo); his nephews, Scott Sivori (Emily) and Drake Hovsepian; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Trent Tompkins (Meredith) of Cassi, TJ, Christian, Cameron Floyd, Henry, Everitt, Lettie Dickey, Jamison and Jackson Stackhouse; his close friend Davey Lindsey; Sylas Halbauer. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Highlands Funeral Home (3331 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40205).
