He was predeceased by : his parents, Armra Roy and Pearl Roy; his son Tyler Roy; and his mother-in-law Beulah Paulley. He is survived by : his wife Belinda Roy; his daughter Jordan L. Roy; his nephew Wesley Underhill (Little Buddy); and his father-in-law Jack Paulley. He is also survived by 2 brothers, 1 sister, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

“Dear Belinda and Jordan, your husband and dad has held a piece of my heart for 50 years. We were in youth together at 9th and O. He was such a gentleman and had a wonderful sense of humor. A few of us played practical jokes on him due to his color blindness. He always laughed along. We spent a time being pen pals during the school day- he was a remarkable writer. Lastly, he sang at my wedding. He was so nervous he unscrewed the mike! Tho we lost touch, I never forgot his sweet spirit.”
