He was predeceased by : his parents, Elijah Horton and Mae Horton (Portwood); and his siblings, Robert, Nelson and Alean McMullen.

He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Sue Horton (Dishon); and his daughters, Deborah Sue Bloomfield (Mark) and Barbara Jean Johnson (Tony).
