He was predeceased by : his parents, Claude Hammond and Carrie Wood Hansen; his wife Juanita June Miracle Hammond; and his siblings, Mary Ann Hammond, Carrie Mae Scott, Bessie Devenny, Maude McDowell, Charles King, William King and Ray Hammond.

He is survived by : his daughter Jaime Hammond (Brent Dunaway) of Berry, KY; his granddaughters, Brooke Dunaway, Whitney Dunaway and Taylor Dunaway; and his sisters, Hazel Askin of Brooksville, KY and Brenda Eckler of Cynthiana, KY.
