He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Gillespie and Mable Sydnor Gillespie; his children, Richard Alan Gillespie and Kasten Marie Gillespie; and his niece Patricia Colvin.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Gillespie; his sisters, Betty Aucther (Jimmy) and Ruby Colvin (late Tommy); and his siblings-in-law, Timmy, Debbie Golden, William and Faye Taulbee.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pendleton County Animal Shelter and Antioch Mills Christian Church in Berry, Ky.
