He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Redden and Betty Ross Redden. He is survived by: his wife Diane Elliott Redden; and his siblings, Rita McFarland of Fancy Farm, Rodney Redden (Cindy) of Fancy Farm and David Redden (Robin) of Folsomdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to an animal rescue organization, wildlife conservation, or the American Cancer Society.
