She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosure McKinley and Myrtie Bell Rains (Cummings); her half-siblings, Audrey Rains (Rineberger), Norma Rains (Crockett), Willard Cummings and Teddy Cummings; her brothers, Bill Rains and George Rains; and her stepson Edward Evans.
She is survived by: her brothers, Joseph (Nancy Rains) of New Castle, Indiana and Benny Rains of New Castle, Indiana; her nibling Cletis Evans, Jr. (Sally) of Brandenburg, KY.; her grandchildren, Jordan Evans (Meeks), Jerry, Jesse Evans, Ashley and Joel Evans; her great grandchildren, Tanner Meeks, Rylee Evans and Savannah Meeks; and her stepgreat-granddaughter Elaina.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Carolyn's honor to the Meade County Alumni Association, PO Box 283, Brandenburg, KY 40108.
