He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Shelton and Maggie Davis Shelton; his wife Darlene Mills; and his sisters, Clara Matlock and Margie Morgan (Ralph).
He is survived by: his son Frank Shelton Jr. of Corbin; and his sister Sue Morgan of Barbourville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; among other relatives and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Heritage Activities Department so that other residents may experience the same joy and companionship that Frank found in their programs.
