She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Thurman and Sue Thurman; her daughter Laura Janine Cline; and her siblings, Don Thurman, Jane White and Carol Thurman.
She is survived by: her husband Charles William Chaffin; her daughter Karen Carter (James) of Lexington, KY; and her granddaughters, Madison Carter and Allison Carter.
