She was predeceased by: her parents, Charity Rose Gentry Workman and Albert "Pete" McDowell; and her siblings, James M. Workman, William J. Workman, Rexal E. Workman, Joseph F. Workman, Andrew J. Workman, Alice F. Smith, Bessie R. Chaffin, Pearl M. Workman and Ruby J. Workman.
She is survived by: her spouse Estil E. Morrison "Gene"; her daughters, Angela M. Chevalier of Westwood, KY, Virginia G. Moore "Ginny" (Robert) of Largo, FL and Kimberly Sue Ann Lykins (John "J. P.") of Flatwoods, KY; and her grandchildren, Jacob P. E. Lykins, Ashleigh R. Sparks, Zachary A. Hood, Shelbie M. Hood, Desire'N. Patrick "Nikki" (Chris) and Megan R. Clark (Danny). She is also survived by Her family continued to grow with three great-grandchildren and five bonus great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bailey Family Funeral Home (2110 Argillite Rd, Flatwoods, KY 41139). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at the Rose Hill Burial Park (3801 13th St, Ashland, KY 41101).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marie's honor to the Ashland Community Hospice Care Center (2330 Pollard Rd, Ashland, KY 41101).
