She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Howard and Martha Adkins Howard; her husband Carl Howard; her daughter Brenda Bowen; her son-in-law Thomas Howard; her grandson Allen Ray Zabrieszack; and her siblings, Rainey Howard, Dudley Howard, Zeda Russell, Ethel Hensley, Beckham Howard, Flossie Howard, Gustie Helton, Easter Arnett, Louise Ward and Roncie Collinsworth.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Goodson (Ronnie) of Flatwoods, Ralph Howard (Janice), Carl Ray Howard (Karen) of Greenup, Barbara Hutchinson (Ralph) of Westwood, Patricia "Cush" Howard of Salyersville, Lloyd Howard (Brenda) of Greenup and Hattie Zabrieszack (Allen) of Greenup; and her son-in-law Gary Bowen of Flatwoods. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel (900 Parkway Dr, Salyersville, KY 41465). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
