She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Hughes and Frances Galyen Hughes; her husband John Jones; and her siblings, Marilyn Henschen, Phyllis Ross, Dennis Hughes and Larry Hughes.
She is survived by: her children, Col. Gary Jones (Beth), Christy Burgess (Ed) and Melinda Rice (Jeff); her grandchildren, Angie Burgess, Chris Burgess, Isaiah Burgess (Marina), Erin Cowgill (Jeremy), Allison Sanders (Zachary), Andrew Jones, Dr. Kylie Rice-Claunch (Cameron) and Keelan Rice; her great grandchildren, Isabella Pagan, Brody Duckworth, Frankie Cowgill, Jameson Oaks, Jackson Oaks, Parker Nash and Makenna Bryant; her great great grandchild Holden Burgess; her siblings, Rodney Hughes (Sara), Stephen Hughes (Donna), Greg Hughes (Rhonda) and Marsha Byerly (Ted); and her close friend Joan Howes.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Carman Funeral Home (2301 Argillite Rd, Flatwoods, KY 41139). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Bridges Christian Church.
