He was predeceased by: his parents, Clare "Pete" Kessinger and Dora Bell Miller Kessinger; and his brothers, Michael Kessinger and Timothy Kessinger. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Rose Morris; his children, Jerry II Kessinger (Jeanne) and Rebecca Kessinger; his grandchildren, Stephanie George (Jerry) and Scott Worthington (Yvette); his great grandchildren, Drew Williams (Belle), Abigail Sligar (Isaiah), Alyssa Thurman (James), Dylan Blevins, Elijah Worthington, Destyni Tennison and Alyssa Littlejohn; and his great great grandchildren, Lucas Thurman and Ella Perry. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
