He was predeceased by : his parents, Ambers Austin and Shirley Austin; his sisters, Janet Daughtery, Irene Hickerson and Eleanor Clark; and his wife Neldred L. "Nettie" Austin.
He is survived by : his son John B. Austin Jr. (Regina) of Flatwoods; his stepdaughter Cathy Johnson (Shannon) of Wurtland; and his grandchildren, Mikayla Bonzo and Nathaniel Bonzo. He is also survived by extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
