With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joyce Childers of Flatwoods, Kentucky, born in Portsmouth, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joyce left this world on June 11, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Elmer Childers. She is survived by: her children, Guy Elbert Childers, Keith Allen Childers, Lee Ann Noble (Greg), Robert Lynn Childers (Michelle), Billie Jean Evans Childers, Timothy Wray Childers (Carol Lee) and Ruth Adele Davis (James); her grandchildren, Lynn Childers, Addie Childers, Michael Childers, James Mullens, Jilian Mullens, Dylan Evans, Erica Childers, Natasha Baker, Brittany Diniz, Callie Childers, Emily Templeton and Leah Hall; and her cousins, Ralph Minter and Charlotte Anderson. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren; along with a host of extended family.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ashland Cemetery (1518 Belmont St, Ashland, KY 41101).
