Though Joyce Marcum may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Auxier Marcum and Bertie Lakin Marcum; her husband Charles E. Phillips; her brother Auxier Marcum (Beulah); and her stepson Richard Phillips.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Cheryl Douglas (Charles) and Greg Phillips (Dahlia); and her niece Judy Maynard (Gary). She is also survived by two great-nieces and one great-nephew, three great-great-nieces and one great-great-nephew; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Temple Baptist Church (124 Reid St, Flatwoods, KY 41139). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
