In the vast expanse of eternity, Kathy shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Kathy farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sonny Prater and Vernis Louise Mullins Prater; her husband Gary Fannin; her nephew Jeff Gibbs; and her brother-in-law Bobby G. Gibbs.
She is survived by: her son Christopher Fannin (Kim Black) of Ashland; her sister Joyce Gibbs of Columbus, Ohio; her niece Susan Hatgas (Dave) of Dublin, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Lexie Fannin and Laney Fannin. She is also survived by extended family and several very special friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Flatwoods Church of Christ (2100 Argillite Rd, Flatwoods, KY 41139). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
