He was predeceased by : his parents, Hobart Ritchie and Mae Moreland Ritchie; his wife Norma Joyce Maxey Ritchie; and his siblings, Hobart Jr., Kenneth, Randall, Billy Joe Ritchie and Patsy Allen.

He is survived by : his children, Patricia Colgan (Charles) and Tim Ritchie (Phyllis) of Flemingsburg; his grandchildren, David Kegley (Heather) of Winchester, Angie Helterbrand (Jeff) and Megan Mays (Eric) of Flemingsburg; his great grandchildren, Justin Helterbrand and Mackenzie Kegley; his great great grandchild River David Helterbrand; and his sister Dolly Ritchie of Cynthiana.
