He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl Campbell and Thelma Goble Campbell; his wife Rosa Stephenson Campbell; his son Dr. James Arnold Campbell; his stepdaughter Terry Ford; and his siblings, Deeve Campbell, Hubert Campbell, Edna Harris, Amy Spears and Elvie Ousley.

He is survived by : his daughter Oddie Cooley (Hansel Jr.) of Prestonsburg, KY; his granddaughter Lindsay Newkirk (Scott); his great grandchildren, Taylor Newkirk and Camron Newkirk; his stepgranddaughter Heather Stumbo; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jasmine Porter, Cole Porter and Carly Porter.
